Top Afep & Top Jeunes: Air France-KLM Reaffirms Its Commitment to Employment, Innovation, and Decarbonization
On March 27 and 28, Air France-KLM took part in the Top Jeunes and Top Afep events, organized by Afep at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris. Top Jeunes gave over 300 students from the Île-de-France region the opportunity to discover the business world, while Top Afep brought together leaders from 40 major companies and 300 entrepreneurs to discuss growth and partnership opportunities. Both days were marked by open exchange and sharing.
Top Jeunes: Bridging the Gap Between High School Students and the Corporate World
Supported by the Ministry of National Education, the Top Jeunes initiative enabled 200 high school students, mainly from priority education areas, to explore the wide range of careers offered by Air France. At its booth, Air France mechanics, cabin crew, and HR managers shared their experiences and highlighted the diversity of career paths and opportunities within the company. Special emphasis was placed on increasing female representation in aviation careers, reinforcing that roles such as pilot, aeronautical technician, or engineer are equally accessible to women. This direct exchange provided young people, especially girls, with concrete career guidance and opportunities, while promoting diversity and equal opportunities in the sector.
As the largest private employer in Île-de-France, and with more than 3,000 recruitments planned for 2025, the Group plays a major role in both regional and national economic growth. Air France-KLM makes a significant contribution to local communities and generates over 550,000 direct and indirect jobs across France.
Top Afep 2026: Air France-KLM’s Commitment to Employment and Local Communities
On March 28, Air France-KLM participated in Top Afep, the flagship event bringing together large corporations, SMEs, mid-sized businesses, and start-ups to focus on employment and local economic development. The event offered the Group valuable opportunities to connect and engage with a variety of companies, opening up new prospects for projects and partnerships.
The day also featured an interview with Anne Brachet, Executive Vice President Engineering & Maintenance at Air France-KLM, on the BFM Business channel. Anne Brachet discussed the Group’s decarbonization strategy, centered around fleet renewal, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), and operational measures such as eco-piloting. She also emphasized the central role of innovation—a core value of Air France-KLM’s industrial branch—driven by the commitment and creativity of its employees.
Through its participation in Top Jeunes and Top Afep, Air France-KLM continues to strengthen the connection between young people and the corporate world, and to advance a more responsible aviation sector.
