Transavia France celebrates 18 years since its first-ever flight
On May 12th, 2025, Transavia France celebrated the 18th anniversary of its first-ever flight, which connected Paris-Orly to Porto (Portugal).

To mark the occasion, Anne-Marie Couderc, Chairwoman of the Air France-KLM Group, and Olivier Mazzucchelli, Chairman and CEO of Transavia France, were on board a flight making the historic rotation between the French capital and the Portuguese city. This flight also welcomed Transavia France’s 15th millionth passenger to Portugal.
This anniversary highlights the journey taken and the accomplishments of the Group's low-cost airline since its inception.
Anne-Marie Couderc also emphasized the importance of Transavia France within the Air France-KLM Group's global strategy, underscoring the airline’s strong commitment to sustainable development. “Transavia France doesn't just make air travel accessible; it is actively committed to reducing its carbon footprint and adopting more environmentally friendly practices,” she stated.
In recent years, Transavia France has invested in a more modern and fuel-efficient fleet, with the integration of new-generation aircraft that significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The company continues to explore innovative solutions to improve its overall eco-efficiency.
