This year once again, AFI KLM E&M was present at the “MRO Europe” international aeronautical maintenance trade fair, which took place in Amsterdam from 18 to 20 October. The Group’s maintenance activity sector was on home turf and used the opportunity to organize visits of its facilities for its customers and to present several of its “MRO lab” innovations, including the use of a drone for its aircraft inspections.
On this occasion, AFI KLM E&M also made several announcements in the areas of innovation and development.
The first concerned using big data to develop predictive maintenance. With the “PROGNOS” solution range, AFI KLM E&M is developing technological solutions to upgrade to predictive maintenance models to improve the operational performance of its fleet and that of its customers.
Moreover, AFI KLM E&M also announced an extension project for CRMA, the subsidiary specialized in engine module and parts repair. The project sets out to create an additional production area spanning 2,500 sq. m, together with significant investment in new high-tech industrial tools. It also includes a “work flow optimization” component, designed to improve the processing time and quality of its operations.
