SkyTeam voted "Best Airline Alliance" by Latin Trade Magazine


SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, was voted "Best Airline Alliance" in Latin America at the "Best of Travel Annual Awards" awarded by the Latin Trade magazine. The ceremony honoured the alliance's achievements for its customers in Latin America and the Caribbean, and crowns the 15th anniversary of SkyTeam.

Latin Trade is one of the most influential magazines in Latin America and the Caribbean. The "Best of Travel Annual Awards 2015" were selected by an editorial committee consisting of magazine staff and journalists with extensive experience in the travel and airline industry.

In reaching their decision, the jury carefully considered SkyTeam's latest achievements, such as:

- The completion of the deployment of SkyPriority, a harmonized standard across the alliance for priority airport services for Elite Plus, First and Business Class passengers at over 1,000 destinations.
- The opening of a third exclusive SkyTeam lounge in Sydney, Australia, in January 2015. The inauguration of an exclusive SkyTeam lounge in Hong Kong scheduled in the coming weeks, and in Dubai and Beijing in 2016.
- The deployment of fast track lanes at customs and security control for its most loyal customers, at major airports.
- The deployment of SkyTransfer at major airports. The alliance aims to offer passengers and their baggage easy and efficient connections between member airlines.
- Yoga classes in SkyTeam lounges and Yoga on the Go available on the SkyTeam App, developed for customers who want to stay fit during their trip, both on the ground and at 30,000 feet.

To Latin America and the Caribbean, SkyTeam has an extensive network with 9 member airlines flying to or from this region: AeroMexico and Aerolineas Argentina, two carriers in Latin America, as well as Aeroflot, Air France, Air Europa, Alitalia, Delta Air Lines, Korean Air and KLM also offer extensive services to this region from their hubs.
