Flower power with AIR FRANCE KLM MARTINAIR Cargo

Once again this year, AIR FRANCE KLM MARTINAIR Cargo has renewed its commitment to the flower market and successfully fulfilled the seasonal demand for flowers for Valentine’s Day and International Women’s Day.

Over a five-week period (February/March), some 5,000 tons of flowers, grown in producer and exporter countries such as Kenya, Ecuador and Colombia, were transported to Europe, where AIR FRANCE KLM MARTINAIR Cargo owns the largest market share.

Amsterdam connects all the main global producer and consumer markets and remains Europe’s n° 1 logistics centre for the flower market, with Amsterdam-Schiphol airport considered as the world’s favourite “Flower Hub”. The bulk of its activity is intended to supply the European (mainly Dutch, English, Italian, French and Russian) and Asian markets (Japanese).
