Air France-KLM has excelled in Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies 2016, ranking third in the "Airlines" category. In recent years, Air France-KLM has constantly held a leading position in this ranking: the group ranked seventh in its sector in 2010, fifth in 2011, sixth in 2012, sixth in 2013, third in 2014 and fifth in 2015.
The Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies ranking is published annually by the monthly magazine Fortune, with over 1 million copies published and which is read by 5 million people. It is the result of an in-depth survey by the Korn Ferry Hay Group with analysts and company managers operating in the same sector as the companies surveyed. These companies (1,500 companies selected in total) are rated according to various criteria, ranging from financial strength to human resource management and the relevance of their investments. A company cannot be included in the ranking if it does not exceed the average mark in its sector.
Regarding Air France-KLM, the economic assessors particularly noted its excellent performance in terms of "global competitiveness", the quality of its products and services and its social and environmental responsibility.
The Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies ranking greatly influences the international business community. Its methodology, developed by the Korn Ferry Hay Group since 1997, is a reference to the extent that companies are assessed by "sector experts". The 2016 ranking will be available in the March edition of the monthly magazine.
