Air France-KLM has moved up in the Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies 2017 ranking, reaching second place in the “airlines” category.
The economic assessors particularly noted the Group’s excellent performance in terms of innovation, the quality of its products and services and its social and environmental responsibility.
Since 2010, Air France-KLM has ranked among the reference airlines and confirms its outstanding performance by improving its ranking once again this year – the Group ranked 5th in 2015, 3rd in 2016 and 2nd in 2017.
“We are proud and honoured to receive this new distinction for the Air France-KLM Group. Our higher position in an internationally-renowned ranking underlines the tireless efforts of all the Group’s staff to serve our customers”, said Jean-Marc Janaillac, Chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM.
The Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies ranking is published annually by the monthly magazine Fortune, with over 1 million copies published and read by 5 million people.
It is the result of an in-depth survey by the Korn Ferry Hay Group with executives, directors, and analysts operating in the same sector as the companies surveyed. These companies (680 companies selected in total) are rated according to various criteria, ranging from financial strength to human resource management and the relevance of their investments. A company cannot be included in the ranking if it does not exceed the average mark in its sector.
The Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies ranking greatly influences the international business community. Its methodology, developed by the Korn Ferry Hay Group since 1997, is a reference to the extent that companies are assessed by "sector experts".
