The Air France-KLM group strengthens its presence in Kazakhstan


A new service operated by KLM between Amsterdam-Schiphol and Astana

As from 3 May 2016, KLM will offer its customers a new service between Amsterdam-Schiphol and Astana. Four weekly flights, including two as continuations of the flight to Almaty in Kazakhstan, will link these two cities by Airbus A330-200, with a capacity of 243 seats (30 seats in the Business cabin and 213 in Economy).

Flight schedules (in local time):

KL405 – leg 1: leaves Amsterdam-Schiphol at 15h10, arrives in Almaty at 01h40;
KL405 – leg 2: leaves Almaty at 03h05, arrives in Astana at 04h55;
KL405 – leg 3: leaves Astana at 06h10, arrives at Amsterdam-Schiphol at 08h15.
Flights operated on Wednesday and Sunday

KL407 – leg 1: leaves Amsterdam-Schiphol at 15h10, arrives in Astana at 00h50;
KL407 – leg 2: leaves Astana at 02h00, arrives in Almaty at 03h45;
KL407 – leg 3: leaves Almaty at 05h10, arrives at Amsterdam-Schiphol at 08h25.
Flights operated on Tuesday and Friday

A new code-share agreement with Air Astana 

As from 11 March 2016, this agreement will enable Air France and KLM customers to fly to Astana with three weekly frequencies operated by Air Astana from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Flights will be operated by Boeing 757 with a capacity of 16 seats in the Business cabin, 12 in Economy Sleeper Class and 108 in Economy.

On these flights, the Group’s customers will be able to earn miles as part of the Flying Blue loyalty program.

Flight schedules (in local time):

KC224: leaves Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 18:00, arrives in Astana at 05:20 the following day;
KC223: leaves Astana at 14:30, arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 16:35.
