The Air France-KLM group will launch 5 new long-haul routes in summer 2017 and another two during the 2017 winter season.
Starting 28 February 2017, Air France will be offering three weekly flights to Accra (Ghana). These flights will be operated by Airbus A330 with a capacity of 208 seats until 27 March 2017, then by Boeing 777-200 with 312 seats and equipped with the latest Air France travel cabins for the entire summer season.
As from 1 November 2017, Air France will offer two weekly flights to Malé, the capital of the Maldives, from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. This is a new destination for the company, which is extending its services to the tourist destinations in the Indian Ocean, very popular with its customers. These flights will be operated by Boeing 777-200, equipped with the latest Air France travel cabins, with a capacity of 312 seats including 28 in Business, 24 in Premium Economy and 260 in Economy.
Starting 29 March 2017, KLM is launching services to Freetown in Sierra Leone and, as a continuation, to Monrovia in Liberia with three flights a week. The flights are operated by Airbus A330, equipped with 18 seats in the Business cabin and 249 seats in Economy.
KLM will also serve Minneapolis-Saint Paul as from 27 March 2017, again three times a week by Airbus A330 equipped with 18 seats in the Business cabin and 250 seats in Economy.
As from 29 March 2017, KLM will fly to Cartagena (Colombia) three times a week as a continuation of its flight to Bogota, by Boeing 787-900 equipped with 30 seats in the Business cabin and 264 in Economy.
Finally, KLM will start operating flights to Mauritius on 30 March on a code-share basis with Air Mauritius and by Boeing 787-9 equipped with 30 seats in World Business Class, 45 in Economy confort and 219 in Economy. KLM will operate three weekly services between Amsterdam and Mauritius during the winter season. In summer 2018 (starting 28 March 2018), Air Mauritius will operate the route twice weekly by Airbus A340 equipped with 34 seats in the Business cabin and 264 in Economy.
